Confirmation Information
Are you presently an eighth grader (or other high schooler) who is baptized Catholic and is an active member of Saint Charles Church - that is, you participate in Mass weekly and are active in Religious Ed or SCBCS or BMCHS? If so, you will soon receive an invitation to begin formal preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation.
The sacrament will be celebrated here on Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Invitations with registrations are being mailed to the parents of youth in SCBCS and our Religious Education Program. All who accept the invitation to participate must submit completed registrations to Sister Marie in the parish office by Monday, May 11th.

Pray the Rosary with Us...
Monday through Friday throughout the year, a group gathers in church from 7:45 am to 8:45 am to pray the rosary for many intentions. They pray all four sets of mysteries. You are always invited to join them—but most especially during the month of May—the month of Mary. Feel free to come in at any time during the hour.
St. Charles' Newest Seminarian
Devotees of the Sunday 7.30 a.m. Mass will know Matt Deptula, sacristan, extraordinary minister of the Eucharist and minister to the sick. He has served Saint Charles faithfully. Now Matt is going to take a further step in the Lord’s service, having been accepted for training for the priesthood. Sadly he is not going to stay in Florida but is joining the Diocese of Peoria, Illinois, where his brother is a priest. In July he will join their seminarians for retreat and in August will start at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg. Thank you, Matt, for responding to the Lord’s call.
Blood Drive
The Big Red Bus will be in the St. Charles parking lot on Sunday, June 28th from 8:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. for all those interested in donating blood. Central Florida is in dire need of blood, especially now as summer is in full swing. Please consider donating blood - your donation may save a life!
Diocesan Events
Mission Office Seeking Volunteers
The Mission Office of the Diocese of Orlando is seeking two long-term missioners to work and minister in our sister diocese in the Dominican Republic. One of the positions is for a supervisor of our Catholic schools, and the other is for a catechist to establish a total faith formation program. Candidates need to be fluent in Spanish, have a Bachelor’s degree, able to walk in mountainous terrain, and can commit to two years of service. A living stipend, travel expenses, and health and life insurance will be provided.

2009 St. Charles School Summer Camp Program
The 2009 St. Charles Summer Camp Program will be held from June 15– July 2, and from July 6—August 7 for students in incoming grades PK-8. Camp hours are from 9:00 am to 3:00 p.m. each day with aftercare services available.You may pick up an application with camp details at the church or school office.
